Dear dreamy reader,
You have just entered one of my most favorite phases, The Dream Phase. As I said before, during this phase we get to dream about who we want to be and what we want our life to look like. If you have a partner, I highly suggest them to be involved in this phase. You don’t want the two of you to strive for two different end goals. You should build a life together. If you don’t have a partner, then this phase is all about you darling- dream away!
Below, is a sample of our vibe and what we are trying to achieve for our bodies. We have a similar board for Mind, Lifestyle and Spirit as well. We created this on PowerPoint but Canva or Word would work nicely too!

Once we have our vision boards, we’ll need to put them in a few places so we can glance at them to remind us of what we’re striving for; and to use them as a filter system.
Whenever we make a decision, we need to ask ourselves, is this decision going to get me to the places on these vision boards? Or will this decision take me further away from my goals?
A few places I would suggest placing them would be your room, bathroom, kitchen and car. Any place where you frequently find yourself making questionable decisions. From my experience, I’m usually in one of these places when I am thinking, should I go out tonight or should I get to bed early and hit the gym in the AM?
Personally, I am the type of person that needs to watch how much leeway I give myself. Too much and i can slip back to bad habits. My thoughts are something I need to manage because if I don’t, it’s easy for me to either come down hard on myself and start to doubt my abilities or get into a pattern of excusing my mishaps to which my personal accountability will go down. Knowing ourselves is going to be key to keeping ourselves on track; we must be honest and transparent with ourselves.
Okay, now on to your homework. You will spend the next few days (no longer than a week) getting a vision board together. I would suggest following the below guidelines:
- Categories: I would encourage separating your goals into categories as we did. I personally feel like this keeps goals clear and organized. It may also be a little more encouraging since you may accomplish some goals quicker than others. This may also allow you to be even mor strategic with where you place the boards; body- kitchen fridge, spirit- by the bed, lifestyle- office desk, and mind- in the bathroom for when you’re getting ready.
- Goals: When you are choosing your goals, be realistic about what you think you can achieve within 1 to 2 years. One of the worst and most discouraging things you can do is not set yourself up for success. These goals have to be obtainable.
- Photos : Your photos that you choose have to mean something. They can’t just be a nice photo. For instance, when i look at the board above these are what the photos mean to me:
The Fit Girl- This girl is hitting her macros, weightlifting, working in some cardio and meeting her step counts.
The Table of Food- This represents clean and whole food eating to me. This is the table of people who care about what they are putting in their body.
The Couple at the Gym- This is a couple pumping each other up. They are supporting each other’s goals and growing together. No one is getting left behind.
I won’t go through all the photos, I think you’ve got the idea. Just be intentional and aware of the picture’s representation.
So go out and dream. I’ll meet you here soon to continue our journey.
your dreamer friend,
-Lucille
